During the application procedure, we ask you to upload a number of personal documents to your online account. What exactly we need depends upon your income situation. There are several points to bear in mind when gathering the necessary items. On this page you will find some tips on how to submit them correctly and safely. Validity of documents
Identity documents must be valid when uploaded. Unless otherwise stated in the checklist, all other documents must be no more than three months old.
To guarantee the authenticity of your documents, Word files are not accepted. Instead, please make sure that you upload all documents in PDF format.
Security and email
Your applicant account is a secure environment in which you can manage your own data and documents online. Items submitted by email cannot be processed and will be deleted immediately.
Proof of identity
A driving licence is not considered valid proof of identity. We accept only a copy of a valid passport or identity card. When submitting this, make sure that your Citizen Service Number (BSN) and photograph are masked. You can do this by taping over these details when scanning the document, or by using the Dutch government’s KopieID app to make a secure copy.
